QR Clarity Privacy
How QR Clarity and its support website handle information.
Processing on your device
QR Clarity uses the camera to scan codes and can decode a selected photo. Camera frames and a selected photo are decoded locally on your device. QR codes you create are also generated locally.
Link Risk Signals are calculated on your device from the structure of a decoded link. Scan and creation history and a small entitlement cache are stored locally on your device. QR Clarity has no app analytics SDK and does not upload scanned URLs for reputation checks.
Product lookups
For a supported product code, QR Clarity can use the extracted GTIN to request product information from Open Food Facts. Open Food Facts processes that lookup under its own terms and privacy practices. The camera image and scanned URLs are not sent as part of that product lookup.
Purchases and restores
Apple StoreKit handles QR Clarity purchases and restores. Apple processes the purchase transaction and provides QR Clarity with the information needed to recognize an entitlement. QR Clarity keeps the entitlement cache locally so it can reflect the available app features.
External links and sharing
Opening external links or sending content to share destinations is user initiated. The external website, app, or other destination may process information after you choose to open or share it, under that destination's own privacy practices.
Website analytics
The SoftSign Solutions website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate website analytics. This website flow is separate from the QR Clarity app and does not add an analytics SDK to the app.
Support and suggestion submissions
If you choose to submit the website form, Netlify Forms processes the request type, form content, the required email address, and any optional name you provide. Submission information is used to review and respond to the request and is not used for marketing.
Netlify stores QR Clarity form submissions in its Verified or Spam views. It sends a notification copy for verified submissions to support@softsignsolutions.com, where Microsoft 365 processes it in the support mailbox; a submission kept only in Spam may have no notification email.
Active QR Clarity support and suggestion form submissions in Netlify's Verified or Spam views, and matching notification emails in the Microsoft 365 support mailbox when present, are deleted no later than 12 months after submission.
You may request earlier deletion of the Netlify submission and any matching notification email by emailing support@softsignsolutions.com.
Email support@softsignsolutions.com about a deletion request
A matching notification is no longer an active mailbox copy once it is absent from ordinary Microsoft 365 mailbox folders and Deleted Items.
After the Netlify submission and any active mailbox copy are deleted, Microsoft 365 Recoverable Items, provider retention or backups, holds, permissions, legal obligations, security needs, or technical limitations may delay or prevent final purge.
Important limits
Link Risk Signals describe structural characteristics and are informational only. They do not establish whether a code, link, file, sender, or destination is safe, legitimate, or trustworthy.
